WHY THIS MATTERS
Most managers wait until conflict shows up.
By then, it’s already damaging team morale, slowing progress, and eroding trust.
A clear conflict strategy prevents issues from escalating—and brings alignment faster.
The best leaders prepare before it becomes a problem.
BEFORE WE GET STARTED
🚨 Enrollment is officially open
Only 4 spots left for the June live 5-week cohort—and this $1,000 discount disappears after March 31st.
This is your only chance to join at this rate.
Inside, I’ll walk you step-by-step through building your PM portfolio, mastering the most in-demand AI and project management skills, and landing a high-paying role that fits your goals.
THE METHOD
Conflict doesn’t mean failure.
It means something needs clarity, structure, or communication.
Here’s how to build a simple, effective conflict strategy for your team:
1. Set Ground Rules Early
Confusion creates conflict. Set expectations upfront.
Define what respectful disagreement looks like.
Make psychological safety part of your team culture.
Normalize feedback and questions—even when they’re tough.
Example Action: Today, write 3 “team norms” and share them in your next team meeting.
2. Spot Issues Before They Blow Up
You can’t solve what you can’t see.
Pay attention to shifts in tone or silence during meetings.
Ask team members privately if they sense tension.
Track repeated points of misalignment or delay.
Example Action: Today, message one team member and ask, “How are things going working with the team this week?”
3. Use a Neutral Framework
Reacting emotionally fuels division—structure brings calm.
Use a shared framework like SBI (Situation–Behavior–Impact).
Separate the person from the problem.
Focus on actions, not assumptions.
Example Action: Today, write down one recent conflict using the SBI format—just to practice seeing clearly.
4. Involve the Right People
Too many voices escalate things. Bring only what’s needed.
Start with 1-on-1 conversations, not group interventions.
Don’t escalate without trying direct discussion first.
Loop in leadership only if it’s unresolved.
Example Action: Today, think of one small tension on your team and address it directly—privately and calmly.
5. Turn Conflict Into Alignment
Handled right, conflict builds stronger teams.
End every discussion with shared action steps.
Reaffirm shared goals and team purpose.
Follow up to ensure resolution holds.
Example Action: Today, revisit one past team conflict and schedule a follow-up check-in to ensure alignment still holds.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Conflict isn’t the enemy.
Avoiding it is.
A good strategy doesn’t prevent all conflict—it makes you ready for it.
Start small. Stay consistent.
And lead with clarity, not emotion.
THAT’S A WRAP
I’ve seen it too many times.
People wait... Then spots fill up. And they miss the window by a few days.
That’s why I’m giving you a heads-up now:
Only 4 seats left.
$1,000 discount ends March 31st.
This June, we go live for 5 weeks—
You’ll build your PM portfolio, master in-demand AI skills,
And finally land the high-paying role you’ve been chasing.
If this is your year to level up,
Now’s the time.
Until next time,
Justin
